"We offer support tailored to the needs of each elderly person, so they can maintain their independence and enjoy happy moments."
Partial Support of the Elderly
KindCare adapts to the individuality and needs of each person. In this sense, we provide all types of accompanying and support services:
Home Maintenance: cleaning, trips to the supermarket and pharmacy, shopping for various items, laundry, cooking, buying newspapers or magazines, among others. Outings can be carried out solely by a KindCare employee or together to handle all matters.
Medical Appointments, Exams, and Treatments: A KindCare employee goes to the elderly person’s home to fully accompany them to their appointment or medical exam, ensuring that the medical act is carried out calmly and relaxed. The KindCare companion and the elderly person leave together from the elderly person’s residence, and upon arrival at the appointment or medical exam location, the KindCare employee ensures that all bureaucratic processes are completed, such as taking a number at reception or informing that they have arrived, payment, and subsequent movement to the floor or area of the medical event. During the appointment, the KindCare employee will be present, recording all pertinent information. Finally, a report will be prepared and subsequently sent to the responsible person for the elderly individual by email. After the appointment or exam, both return to the elderly person’s home.
Outings, Trips to the Café, Hairdresser, or Other Activities: Contact with the outside world is essential for the physical and mental well-being of the elderly. Mobility and socialization nourish the soul, contributing to their longevity and quality of life. With the help of KindCare, the elderly person can:
- Do grocery shopping at the neighborhood store or their usual supermarket, ensuring they buy the items they have been accustomed to over the years.
- Enjoy coffee at a place where all their long-time friends and acquaintances also gather, thus keeping relationships alive, discussing topics they identify with, and reinforcing the joy of living.
- Visit their regular hairdresser to maintain their appearance and naturally boost their self-esteem.
- Stroll in the garden or around the neighborhood, shop for other necessary items, such as clothing, gifts for family or friends, visit someone dear, among others. With the KindCare employee, they can engage in all kinds of enjoyable activities that contribute to the elderly person's autonomy and happiness. Simultaneously, the children or family members can rest assured knowing that the companionship of KindCare guarantees the safety of their loved one.
Support for Hospital, Care Home, Travel, or Discharge from Hospital to Home: The KindCare employee goes to the elderly person’s residence to help prepare the bag for a trip to the hospital, travel, care home, among others. The same situation can arise when the elderly person needs to leave the hospital or care home to return home. The employee goes to the hospital to assist with all necessary activities (discharge documents, ensuring medical prescriptions, etc.) and even pack the elderly person’s belongings. Together, they return home, where the KindCare employee ensures that the elderly person is comfortably settled (for example, organizing personal belongings, going shopping, managing medications, and starting the laundry).
Support During Hospitalization: Unexpected situations can arise, and there may suddenly be a need for the elderly person to be urgently hospitalized. In these cases, nothing is prepared in advance, and there may be a need to take and bring clothes from home to the hospital, manage dirty laundry, bring personal items to the hospital (such as a mobile phone and charger), walk the pet left at home, and even provide companionship to the elderly during hospital visits. KindCare takes on the responsibility of providing all necessary support during hospitalization, both at home and in the hospital.
Management of Information Regarding Medical Acts: Archiving all paper information related to health.
